HELP Question
A-Z letter E post is below...but here is a question that someone out there might be able to answer for me. Seems my Picassa photo storage has reached capacity. The problem is, I have multiple copies of many of my photos...I could remedy the situation by deleting those photos but the problem is, how can I tell which one is posted on my blog? If I delete the photo that is linked to my blog, then I delete the photo in my post too. If you know how I can figure this out, please leave me directions in the comment section. THANKS!! It would be worth some custom embroidery for you!
Escalante is for E
For miles the landscape looks flat. But once you are on foot, there are gorgeous canyons carved throughout. The temperature is HOT on top, but when you venture down, the temperature cools and you enter into a whole 'nother time and place. The Indians knew what they were doing here. Water, food and magnificent beauty. If you are a hard core backpacker this is the place to go. We were here for days without seeing a soul...except for ring tail cats and other critters. Of course this was in the '80's. We hiked with a ranger and friends so we got to see what the common backpacker does not know was in existence then. Indian ruins, hidden waterfalls and the likes.
The canyon walls are streaked and when the light hits just right it is amazing.
We spent one THUNDERSTORMING night in this covered area. The sounds of thunder and rain was like being in an ampitheater...and the light show was fantastic. If you look closely you can see us packing up after breakfast and to the right there is a giant arch. This was the night a ring tailed cat paid us a visit- he was after a tuna can.
Unfortunately this was back in the days of cameras and film...you didn't get to see your picture instantly and take another if it didn't turn out. Also, water and film don't mix...and the camera cover fell into a stream...and was dampened...and then put back on the camera when we thought it was dry...but it wasn't and we lost every photo after the second day. E is also for errors, and entertaining enviornment!

D is for Daffodil...
...not necessarily my favorite flower in the flower bed...but the only flower in the flower bed that the deer won't eat! The tulips are gone and they were magnificent....until eaten...as will be the roses right as the buds open.....gulp!
D is also for disrespectful deer!

C is for Chips and C is for Couch....one is funny one is going to make my day.
I don't eat chips often, but a steakmelt w/leftover steak begs some bbq chips to accompany it. But when I went to open the bag
I don't eat chips often, but a steakmelt w/leftover steak begs some bbq chips to accompany it. But when I went to open the bag
I tugged at the top....with no luck...so I switched to the seam at the back.....exactly where I tell my kindergartners to open their snacks when they need help....but the bag would not give. So I looked at the top of the bag and it clearly stated:
Now isn't this clever....only it should say, "NO, NOT UP HERE STUPID!"
C
is also for couch:
OLD COUCH
NEW COUCH....that we are going to pick up right now! This one is ready for a frat house! I once came home to BIG Foot and 13 friends sitting on here watching a DVD! I think that did it in!

(apparently I can't make an html link any longer...)
and I thought this would be fun to join....last time I did this I came to an abrubt hault at W...this time I hope to make it to Z....so here goes:
A is my Daughters #1 and #2...their names begin with A and contain 6 letters...so I could write their name with each letter in rainbow colors (minus indigo.) Of course they loved that as little girls love rainbows.

My gift is my song, and this one's for you...
This is actually composed on about a 5" square of paper. It was a gift...like many I get each day. Some are just worth saving...like this one :)

The Sun, My Soul and Work....
See the moon in the right top corner? This was walking up the trail to my classroom.
Sunrise right outside my classroom window.
The sun trying to rise but the rain clouds aren't allowing it to shine to brightly.
Now you see how I can get up early...it's good for my soul...and what you can't see beyond the trees is the skyline of San Francisco, the entire bay and 2 bridges...but sometimes that is all covered in fog...and I am grateful to no longer work in the fog.

Tri It Again....
I solved the pic problem...with a new chapter of my blog...LMNOP began in April of 2007 and ran out of room in March 2012...(with a year hiatus in 2009)....so without delay- Welcome to QRSTUV.
Here's the after Tri photo from this morning...Daughter #1 and I and her two friends swam, biked and ran while our awesome support guy in the center counted our laps in the pool, picked up our dropped water bottles on the bike and gathered our gear after each stage.
After a night of rain, we woke up to a clear sky and no rain....it was chilly but we were surprised to find such great weather. We drove through a wall of fog on the way to the event, which was only a short drive, but we could see the college on the hill in the sunshine. Once there we had our numbers written on our arms and we set our bikes. During the swim and bike the weather was sunny-and then as we began the run,the sky clouded over making it perfect for running. Then after we finished it began to rain....we couldn't have asked for a better wave.
